It's crazy how someone's actions can really effect your mood. For instance, when  someone cuts you off on the road...you get upset...and sometimes use language that is not so nice.

Then again, when someone sees you trying to merge in their lane, and actually LETS you in...you feel happy that someone acknowledged you.

I use these as references to make a bigger point. I have gone on for decades about how much trouble my car has given me. Eating my money, never being fixed...and so on and so forth. Last week, my car finally died. It's done. I won't lie...I did freak out. I did cry. I did panic. I still kind of am. If it weren't for a guy who has really helped me out...I do not know where I would be.

Rob from Right Way Auto...has been a lifesaver! Talking me through the process of getting rid of the old car, and finding a new one. He owns his own business...and the sole purpose...is to help the driver.

One...he runs seminars for women...pretty much how to find the right mechanic for you...because let's be serious...Women get RIPPED OFF...say what you want...but that is my opinion.

Not only does he give you the tools to make smart choices...he also does this consulting. For instance I found a car I like. He will be able to check it out (do the repairs if needed since he DID own his own garage) and then he will be able to tell me what I am going to have to deal with in about 1-2 years.

Needless to say I am much more calm about the situation right now. The biggest lesson I am learning...DO YOUR RESEARCH. So many factors that I never even thought to take into consideration.

There are a few auto clinics planned for Guelph in general...but we are trying to find away to get Rob up here to do one of his clinics.

FINALLY got my new car! I just wanted to take a second to blog about something POSITIVE with cars. Especially since many of my stories were about car TROUBLES.
I need to thank one person...ROB! I blogged about him before, but he seriously made the process so much easier.

From the second my transmission went we talked about options for repairs. He helped me research what my car was worth with a new transmission..and showed me...there was no point fixing it.

We went through the process of finding cars, checking them out, getting car proofs...history check’s etc.

Although it was a long process...Rob really helped me get it together fast. I would be so lost without his help.

I am proud to have my new baby...she's cute. Although Rob told me not to call it cute...since it is a machine that eats up money...but I like her :p

What I like most about Rob is that he knows I know nothing about cars, but he doesn’t make me feel like I know nothing about cars.



Rob takes the time to explain to me what the issue is, what needs to be done and does it in a way that is clear, concise and easy to understand (for someone who knows nothing
about cars J).
I have referred friends and members of my family to Rob and have always had positive feedback not only about the work he does for them, but about his customer service as well.



When I ask Rob about repairs or service for my vehicle, I am confident that I am getting an answer that is knowledgeable, fair and honest. If I have to have warranty work done at the dealership, I still prefer to consult with Rob first, because I know he will tell me what really needs to be done (and what can wait).

Rob Smith has been my mechanic for almost ten years.  After dealing with multiple mechanics and garages that were unreliable, inconsistent or incompetent, I have been blessed to have Rob in my corner.  I have found Rob to be professional, thorough, honest and a hard worker.  He has fixed problems through ingenuity (so as to save me from having to buy new parts when the current part just needed some attention) as well as prevented problems from developing through his attention to detail.  Rob always tells me what needs attention but also what may require attention in the coming months.  All that is done before (not after) he begins repairs.  He has also aided me in finding new cars and preventing me from buying cars that will require repairs or may have a short life.  Rob has become more than just my mechanic; I consider him my friend.  I have recommended his trustworthy service to many people and will continue to do so.

Genuine

Being a woman, it can be very intimidating to have to take your car in for repair. The feeling of being at the mercy of the Auto Mechanic, and not knowing if repairs that will be done, are truly justified, can be quite nerve racking and expensive.   In the past I have been in search for that Auto Mechanic that I can truly feel comfortable with.  A friend highly recommended that I look into “AutoLine” and being a mom of two children, it is every important for me to feel safe in my vehicle, for myself and my family.

I had the honour to be a satisfied customer with Rob at “AutoLine”.  He provided the service that I have always been looking for.   Explained what the issues were with my vehicle, gave me options as to what needs to be done.  I didn’t feel like a number, instead he gave his expert advice and performed the service on my vehicle.  

Having a customer service background, I understand how important it is to provide excellent service and experience.   I must comment, “Rob, You treat your customers great and I have never felt safer driving my older vehicle, then when you have repaired it.”  You know that you have found the perfect Auto Mechanic when his advice to you is….. “I don’t want you to spend more money on this vehicle any more, it is still safe to drive, but I would recommend that you start looking to another car”.    If that doesn’t say he cares for his customers, I’m not sure what does…

I have owned, leased and been provided with many vehicles in my lifetime, and I am all but too aware of how murky the waters can appear to be when finding an auto mechanic. 
I believe that I can safely say that I was one of, if not the first, customer that Rob ever had when opening his first Motor Vehicle Inspection Station…..aka ...garage, to the average consumer.

After many disgruntling experiences with auto mechanics, it was refreshing to find an individual with the time and integrity to show, explain and even rationalize the actual need of repairs and replacements to mine and my wife’s many vehicles.

I was never leery or hesitant to send Noreen to Rob in order to have a potential repair performed on her vehicle, due to his history of integrity and respect for his customers, whether male or female. All repair estimates and requirements were fully explained (in English) and visually followed up in a manner that left her with a feeling of comfort, and confidence that we were only paying for what we needed to keep our vehicles in a safe working order. That can be a difficult thing to find in the competitive market of automotive repair!

I have given many referrals to Rob’s business over the years, from corporate accounts to personal friends and even family members, without any hesitation or reservation from possible backlash….. I would highly recommend his services for any venture that he may partake in the future and I wish him all the good fortune that accompanies it.
