MISSION STATEMENT
“Our mission is to educate and empower people with their vehicles and to give them the confidence they need when purchasing and maintaining their vehicles.”
Finally, honest information is available for customers about
automotive investment, maintenance and service and repair without an ulterior motive!
When we say “better understand” what we mean is we break down all of the confusing technical terms that garages and
technicians use when informing you of what your car needs. We are here to provide you with the necessary basic knowledge that every car owner should know.
How many times have you entered an automotive service garage knowing that you were going to be told that your car requires
extensive repairs and
the cost to you is going to be large? You left the
shop with the keys in their hands feeling uneasy about
the whole thing. You felt pressured to give them authorization to repair your car and with no choice but to trust that they were being honest with you. That must be tough to accept! The worst part was they insisted you sign the authorization repair work order with no amount written on the “total payable line”! You left your car behind not knowing what the repair even consisted of because you
didn’t know what questions to ask. Even if you had asked the right questions the answers would have been vague and/or complicated. That’s ok; you’re
not a mechanic that’s why you were at the repair shop.

The problem is technicians explain technical and mechanical problems best to other technicians. They have a bad habit of not explaining these problems in terms that everyone else (who’s not a mechanic) can understand. In some cases technicians will use these technician terms to intentionally confuse you and in other cases they just don’t know how to explain things in a context that you can understand. We are here to put those technical terms into easy terms that everyone can understand, so that you can go into a garage feeling confident with your purchase.

Our goal is to put some integrity back into the automotive repair
industry, an industry that has sustained a bad reputation for many years. We don’t speak for all garages. There are many that are professional and operate with principals, honesty and integrity. It is not our intention to stereotype the automotive industry. It is to help you to be able to distinguish the good repair shops from the bad ones. |
Let us help you to become educated about the automotive repair world so that you can have the confidence you need to get the right job done for the right price!
